ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Elianna Umana Kimura! I am from Westfield, a small city of Western Massachusetts that is often forgotten about. I have a passion for advocacy, politics, history, writing, the sciences, and the outdoors! I work for the Asian American Commission as a youth intern, where I promote youth voices in educational spaces, leadership growth, and uplift Asian American voices in Massachusetts. During my time, I have developed a project called Asian American and Pacific Islander Voices in Literature. My work and research are highlighted on this website, where I explore the histories, present-day realities, and current injustices facing the AAPI Community. This website is dedicated to teaching more about AAPI history, showcasing AAPI figures with interviews, and allowing the youth to submit their own unique work! I hope you learn something new, and submit something!
